some things.

My truck is a 91 Explorer 2 door with 75K. I try to take very good care of it but this making me a bit crazy.

1st-When the engine is first started it runs very rough. When it is warm it runs fine. Everything seems ok. Any ideas?

2nd. when warm and running for a while on a road that has uneven surface ( not bumps) there is a sound that changes with the surface. That is to say when the truck is coming down from a high spot (like a roller coaster ride) it has a moaning sound.

Also anybody have the front seat lever break. The one that makes the seat fold forward. Any ideas where to get a new one.

My neighbor has a similar model. The mechanics are telling him they cannot get a sparkplug out for a tune up. So they do everything else but. Is there some special procedure to get a sparkplug out that is stuck?

Thanks.

A rough running cold engine sounds like to me like a mass air flow sensor which are notorious for failing. Did you check that out? I'd also check all the intake duct-work going to the throttle body, make sure there are no cracks, etc. A fouled plug will also cause this, so if you can pull plugs easily, check them out as well.

The moaning problem you mention sounds a bit vague. It could be suspension related, a worn shock or bushing perhaps. Is your truck a 4x4? Check the u-joints, etc. It can even be something simple like low tire pressure.

As far as your seats go, check eBay to see if you can find one or try your local junkyard. Might be easier to buy a whole seat and then swap the frames.

Tell your neighbor to find a new mechanic. While I agree there is no easy way to remove the plugs on the right side of the engine, its not impossible. I'd done it on a number of Ford V6 Mustangs which have a similar design and inaccessibility. The best way I found to remove them is by putting the car on a lift and getting them from underneath. The other option is remove all the intake plumbing to gain access from above.

Good Luck!

You don't really need a lift to get the passenger side plugs out. Go in thru the wheel well, it's pretty easy. Now if the plug in question is stripped or the head rounded out, that's a different story.
