I find the learning absolutely annoying and have since Ford got heavy with the learning over 10 years ago. The stock baseline is smooth and consistent. I just want it to stay on the baseline programming, I don't need it to think or learn. I like predictable drive quality and performance.
It's almost like it wants to learn your driving style to get you to over drive as soon as possible, not learning how to stay in the best possible rpm range.

Teach the " learning " a lesson and put in manual shift.

Also, do you reset the module too?
I only reset the module if there is a shifting fault that will not clear with clearing adaptive learning.

Page 210:

Automatic Transmission Adaptive Learning

This feature's design is to increase

durability and provide consistent shift feel

over the life of your vehicle. A new vehicle

or transmission may have firm shifts, soft

shifts or both. This operation is normal and

does not affect function or durability of the

transmission. Over time, the adaptive

learning process fully updates transmission

operation. Additionally, whenever you

disconnect the battery or install a new

battery, the system must relearn the

strategy.

I think I adapt much better than Ford's creation.

It doesn't really concern me but I'm curious. I didn't think you could do anything but monitor in Lite.

You can carry out the following service procedures in lite.

Thanks! That's good to know. Reps intended, apparently I've thanked you already somewhere else.

Hopefully in the next version of lite there will be more capabilities. I know they are working on being able to complete plain English changes to modules.

I don't have Lite on any of my devices but maybe I'll grab it just to have. I've used regular FORScan several times but had always heard that Lite was pretty much just for monitoring.

I've tried to reset my 10r140 several times now using
forscan exactly the way everyone does it on YouTube and it has not worked. If anything it made it worse.

You might have a bigger problem, one that simply resetting adaptive learning and going through the learning process won't fix.
