I have 2003 F250 6.8L SuperDuty With 356,xxx+ mile im wanting to wire it up from the ignition switch but want it where the key is still used for accesory power
So you want to use a key to turn the accessories on and then push a button instead of turning the key to start ?
Then to kill the motor turn a toggle off? that toggle would have to have been flipped on before startinfg
if so you would just use some wires at the column I wouldn't even cut them i would just tie into them, so you still have a key switch for back up start method
you may have a few weird side effects like the stereo and other accessories not switching off when starting with the push button since that is part of the mechanics of the key switch
as far as the toggle to arm and kill it that would be wires in the column also
but the research for what wires is not something I will provide it is all available online
