2002 Electronic Climate Control

2002 Excurion,

Anyone have the electronic (digital) climate control get stuck on Hot? Does the system ever go bad?

Have changed the blend motor twice and all I get is hot air out of the system?

Jim have you looked at the 4x4 vacuum solenoid located near the battery just above the vacuum pump. It has an electrical hook up along with a vacuum connector, it cracks underneath and causes it to malfunction. It controls the air flow in the cabin along with the 4x4 hubs Mine was broken and caused my system to continuously switch from vent to defrost. 40 bucks later , fixed. You can also preform a diagnostic test on the eatc

All the vacuum stuff works fine.

But, the a/c and/or heat blows HOT no matter what I set the temp at, through the defrost, dash vents or floor.

I have no Temperature control....

thanks Vinny, codes came up as 22 with degree symbol and little e and 66

Researching it says left blend door.

This does not have dual air, so my guess is blend door is having issues?

That sounds correct, not sure it was you but didn’t you find a lose wire behind the glove box ? Could be a clue, good luck, at least you know we’re to look.

have blend door cover off and relooking at actuator. Testing actuator, the door actuator does not move when I adjust the temp, thinking I have a blown fuse but cant find any info what fuse it could be?

Any ideas.
