My source tells me there are problems with the hard roof now. Seems with Webasto, that supplies the roof, there have been some cases of it cracking.
And the manual trans ones have an irritating sound at low speeds generated by the electronic wastegate.
Another none problem with the soft top, interesting though. At first, Ford tried using a vinyl material for the roof. Trouble was,it cracked in cold weather when folding/rolling it. They've since gone to a canvas like material, like used on convertible cars.
Warthog is definitely a real thing, and there is talk of another trim level with slightly different fenders. Right now with that, they're having problems keeping the aluminum from cracking due to the stamping process, something about the extreme angles.
Always going to be a few problems on the first go around.
Hopefully gets worked out.
Sure, there will always be things to work out. Gotta give Ford credit though, they're really wringing the Bronco out, they badly want this to be as non problematic as possible. They don't want disappointments after all the hype.
So, all the areas where they basically carbon-copied Jeep have shown no issues, but the few areas where they tried to be different and/or use different vendors are showing problems? Well gosh, what did they expect?
I saw the Bronco out on the streets of Detroit (suburbs of Detroit actually) a few weeks ago in the dark red metallic color they offer and it had the Sasquatch package on it. Looked pretty good overall, much much better than the Bronco Sports which are all over the roads up there.
It's a good looking vehicle for sure, HA, it just might be my next car/truck. The things I point out are all just growing pains, sorta giving a little background history of what's going on. I'm pretty sure Ford will get it right before it hits the masses.
