i am looking for a cover for 64 f100 shortbed. I have custom fit covers on my other classics From California car covers, but went to there website and boy have prices gone up, and rather recently. I basically want a snug fit, something that doesn’t slide off when you walk past it in the garage.
I found a company called seal skin covers, but I’ve never heard of them.
what are you using?
Cal car cover for all my cars. Yes, you pay more for a good fitting and quality cover. I have also purchased from Covercraft with good results...but don’t know what the price difference is.
I agree that California Car Covers are the best but not cheap. I had one for my Chevelle but that car went to bed in December and slept till April, so I went with a very nice cover. For the truck I got a cover from Car Covers.com and it was affordable and the quality appears to be good. I ordered the indoor satin shield cover.
CarCovers.com is decent for a less expensive option. It won't be a snug fit like a custom cover, but it is contoured to the shape and length of the truck. My first cover was from them, but I needed to replace it after one year outside. If you're keeping it in the garage it'll likely last longer.
My biggest issue with keeping a cover on a pickup outside is finding a method to prevent the bed from turning into a swimming pool.
California Car Covers are top quality and fit very nicely. I used mine for storage of my F250 in the driveway and after a few years the seams started to degrade. I called up the company and told them what happened and they sent me a brand new cover, no questions and no charge. Now I keep the truck in an RV storage unit so the cover will likely last forever.
I just took delivery a few days ago of my CarCovers.com. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.
Has a soft surface on the inside, and while it's not CaliCover caliber, I would call overall quality "above average" considering the price.
Fits decent enough for my needs (see below) which is to keep dust off while I also do wood working in my "multi-purpose" garage.
Came with a storage bag, an underbody cable lock, clamp/bungee tied down kit, and a couple shammie towles.
They also tossed in a coupon for complimentary "Microfiber-Duster."
