A number of the trucks I have seen at shows in Tucson, AZ have purchased from *******'s Fiberglass Truck Lids / Tonneau Cover, Truck Bed Lid. Some have been custom orders and others off the shelf. This is the route I am looking at in the distant future.

I've had the cheap ones from Pep Boys and they don't last very long on my old El Camino... just remember you get what you pay for....

Truck cover

I have the Silver-tech from Mid-Fifty and it it is awesome, lightweight, soft inner liner doesn't scratch paint and the driver door zipper is fantastic to get in and do some work or just to start the truck up when it is sitting through the winter the keep it all running.

As their ad says it covers down over the running boards and Chevrolet owners can get nothing like it because Mid-Fifty custom builds these to fit the 53-56 F-100 trucks and they fit the box corners, cab, and and fenders great.

I'm looking to replace mine from Covercraft because my wife is making noises about wanting her garage parking space back. I spent way too much, around $400. They had to replace it twice under warranty over several years. The fabric does an excellent job for what is designed for water repellent/ sun filtering. It's just that water collects in the bed. Duh! it's a pickup. The fabric becomes weak over time with constant downpours and the sharp corners of the 56 bed eventualy tear under the tension of the weight of the water. I'm suspecting that all water resistant covers, regardless of their manufacturer, will have this problem unless they reinforce the corners. Since Mid-Fifty designed theirs specifically for the 53-56 F Series i'm curious if they address this problem? Probably the more practical thing to do would be to invest in a sheet of plywood to support the cover and channel the water off the bed.

Yes i agree!!!!

Avoid Wolfe products like the black plague! design is crap & customer service just does not exist!

Cheap covers don't last, protection is bad and can cause surface damage to paint!
