I'm looking for ways to economically increase over all performance on my F150 1983 351W. I have a MSD ignition box and coil as of right now. I want to put on a Holley carb but am tackling this project as my first. I've never done any modifications before like this and don't even know where to start any and all helpful suggestions and questions are welcome.
The single best upgrade is a cam change coupled with a full exhaust system, this is a low compression smog era motor but the heads still flow well enough to almost double the HP you are getting now which sounds like a lot but it's still well short of the 1hp/cu in it should make.
