We are talking about the key bob.... don't need to find it....if its in the truck....it will start....
no it won’t. If you don’t leave it in the door or the front seat it won’t.
ive regularly left it in the back seat or anywhere away from the driver seat and it will not start. At that point a thief will need to find Bob. Bob is good at hiding.

My truck is not push button start..... it will not start. If it was push button start I would put fob in a frequency bag and leave it hidden in the truck the exact same way...Why would I risk the possibility of someday losing my key and being in another state, being able to sit in my truck and not go anywhere. Spare key is as useless as breasts on a bull sitting in my garage on a peg. I suppose that's why I keep a set of clean underwear, t-shirt, and socks, in a gallon freezer zip lock bag, along with an extra work sweat shirt, wiper blade set, spare tire, tire jack, some tools, road flares, 2 gallons of gas, a 45K tow strap with shackle, a portable Vlair air compressor, a tire plug kit, a "Leatherman", a flash light, jumper cables, fire extinguisher, can opener 3 sets of disposable table utensils, a lighter, 3 bottled waters, 2 cans of sardines (olive oil) 2 cans fruit, 2 cans chicken breast, Snapon long handle 1/2" drive flex head ratchet, 1/2" drive 3/4", 13/16", 7/8", 15/16"th sockets, flat and round short handle shovels, 75' thick good supple rope. I am sure I forgot a few things. These I carry all the time. I don't carry because I use, I carry because I might need. My floor space is all open my 8' bed is clear for sheet goods for work, it's all away nice and neat. I would feel like the stupidest Italian on the planet if I was down the Cape and somehow lost my keys and had to inconvenience myself and others to bail me out of a situation I was entirely capable of preventing all by myself. Pretty silly to not be prepared, but that's me the guy who can fend and think for himself, fast becoming an extinct novelty in this day and age. I consider those items basics and have them in my exwife and daughters vehicles also (except the sardines). I forgot 3 big straws so when Dunkins and I forget my straw I have one.

Right....they don't have 2020 yet. If you fumble around in the control panel you'll figure it out. I have 2 left thumbs with site navigation and savvy, and I figured everything out, one of those things they can tell you and you just have to do yourself
My preparation has me buying and setting up a 3rd key Fob. Several reasons.
1st, I always want to have two Fobs, So that if I every loose a key, I can recreate a new one with out going to the dealer. 2 keys you can make a 3rd 1 key you get to go see dealer
2nd. My primary key is almost ALWAYS in my pants pockets. I leave second key at home so that if I'm gone,my wife or daughters could move my truck if needed.
3rd. I keep my 3rd key in a Faraday bag hidden on the truck. If on one of my horse rides, I lost or misplaced a key, I could dig it out and drive myself home. No need to call my wife and have her drive 5 hours to bring me a spare key.
I had a 3rd Fob programed to my 2017 truck. When I sold it, I gave the new owner the 2 original keys and kept the 3rd. I just programmed it to my 2020 truck. Same key works, saved the cost of having to by a new Fob. I talked the dealer into including a key blank cut to fit my new truck and I just switched the blank out on the Fob.

I see you are from Utah where I imagine self preparedness and self reliance is a given. Where I live drifting, crossing middle of the road line and failure to notice light turning green at a traffic control signal is so common I'm dumb founded how these people exist. Mass. is so liberal you could quit your job and try and hurt your self and you'd end up fine. They try to idiot proof everything, there are government programs for everything. I see and experience cluelessness on a level I cannot believe. If the governor told people they had to crawl around instead of walk 70% of people wouldn't even ask why.

I'm to cheap to buy a 3rd fob , the mentality is totally sound.
$59.95 for refurbished or $69.95 for brand new. I have purchased the refurbs and they work great. My local Ford dealer has either cut the key blanks for free or $5 last time.

im going to leave one in the hidden programming cradle. I’ll remove the fob battery so f anyone breaks in it will not be sensed to enable the truck to start. To start without a battery in the fob you could push the start button with the battery less fob and it should start.

Thank you and Happy New Year! Do you know of a link that shows how to program it?
