I have been having issues with the rear lights. My mechanic can not figure it out. All of the rear exterior lights do not function properly and operate at all different times with the wrong controls. They traced the wiring to the neutral safety relay switch and to the rear wiring harness and found them corroded and they repaired the connections. However, it is still doing what the lights wants to do afterwards. This is driving us crazy. I hope someone has encountered this and had it fixed.
I would check the grounds. I think there are some back by the tail lights and I know there are a bunch in the engine compartment. Bad grounds make lights do strange things.
There are no pertinent details contained within your post that would allow any substantive assistance in troubleshooting and it appears you are not technically astute in this matter.
Find a mechanic/technician who understands electrical diagnostics and hire him/her to fix it.

Black wolf can you give any more information on what the lights are actually doing? Are the going out and coming on intermittently? Are the turn indicator staying on solid instead of flashing? Reverse lights on even when not in reverse Ect ect? A better description would help narrow down where to look.
Some additional information on the truck may also be useful. Was it ever flooded or have any water leaks. Any major accident that may have pinched wires. Do you live in an area that has lots of salt in the air, salting the roads for snow in common, lots of boat ramp time.
Lance is pointing you in a good direction with with the recommendation to start looking at grounds.
ProjectSHO was on to something with both of his points. More information would be a big on helping you narrow down the problem. Also not all mechanics are great at electrical problem. You may want to look for a mechanic that has a good reputation for electrical problem repairs.

Tough.
Sometimes you just have to tell someone that they are out of their field of competence and to get expert assistance from someone who can assist them hands-on. Sometimes, the coach has to order a punt even when the team wants to go for it on 4th and long.

I agree with Steve.. I've posted many questions that were "out of my league" to simply educate myself when I do bring my truck to a mechanic. I want to know what they are doing. Furthermore Mr. projectSHO89, do you have an Excursion? Your signature line indicates otherwise. So, who is out of their league?
