what is this?

can anybody identify this piece please? my pcv valve is connected to one of the hoses the others are plugged with screws its mounted on the intake manifold

Yes, just a fixture to hook multiple vacuum lines to.

so the ones that are plugged should they be plugged or are they supposed to have something hooked up? also if mine has 3 or 4 ports can i be replaced by one with 2?

Chances are that from the factory, they were probably hooked up. I've seen alot of vehicles that have those all capped off after the smog stuff is removed.


Either way, if your not using them you can swap it to a tee with less. I'm trying to find one that has the right amount of hook ups for me, but I can't. I need one with one regular vacuum line, a little bigger for the cruise control, and even bigger for the brake booster... So let me know if you find a place that sells them...

You're brake booster is definitely going to need to be hooked up there, otherwise stopping will be an issue. I'm not sure what the tree looked like on the mid 70's model trucks, but plugging them up doesn't hurt anything.

the booster is hooked up to the throttle plate under my carb if i remember correctly

can someone tell me why he has coolant lines going into/under his intake?

Never mind, just saw that he had efi manifolds...
