First off welcome to the forum.
You looking for help installing them, help in determining which ones will fit, which is it? You need to be a bit more clear and then include the front suspension type. That is a pretty important factory in figuring what will fit. People here will try to help but you need to help us give you good info. Pictures really help in determining what will clear your obstacles.

Wow, I was just getting ready to ask this question myself. I have a 1995 302 engine (which I would think uses similar headers to the 351W) with a 4R70W automatic which I need to buy a set of headers for. They will be going into my '49 F1. When I look at 302 headers, they are usually listed for either passenger cars (late 60's - early 70's) or for trucks of the same years. What is the difference between the truck and Pass car headers? Will either type fit into a F1? The exhaust will be full custom so the rest of the exhaust can be made to match up with the headers. What should I be looking for?

Sorry about the thread hijack and if the answer to my question would vary from Dan's, just let me know and I'll start a separate thread.

Will depend on what suspension you have in your truck , your 302 will provide a little more room than the 351 which has a higher deck height making it wider than the 302. Check out some of the manufacturers websites and look at the various styles they have and the measurements they provide. That way you can narrow it down..

I'd check Sanderson Headers. They seem to offer some short headers for odd applications.

These fit great on my 302, even with the stock box. There's a cheaper painted version for about 300 bucks, which is what i got. My motor's a little higher up than it should be, if it was lower it'd clear the stock crossmember quite well. Based on the amount of clearance it has, it should also work with a 351. Might need some heat and beat, might not. But i'd say it's a good bet for good money.

They also sound excellent with glasspacks.

I have used the shorty factory mustang headers. With good results.

I used Sanderson headers as well. They have a lot of choice, went with a mid length unit. But my truck is completely different then yours.

Not at this point myself yet. But I have a 351W C6 setup going in a '50 F2 with TCI IFS suspension (installing now). I think with this setup I'm going to have to go with short hugger headers, Summit, Sanderson and Speedwaymotors all have some that may work. But I still a few months before I can do measurement around everything. Will really depend on suspension you have and other things that may get in the way.

I also have the TCI IFS unit that I am installing. The crossmember is already welded into place and I am preparing to get the engine/transmission/rear axle setup for all the mounts. That is one reason I need the headers as I would like to know if I can mount the engine offset to the passenger side. The Explorer rear axle pinion is offset by around 3" to the passenger side so I am considering moving the engine a couple of inches over to minimize the angle and create more room for the steering mechanisms. If I have the headers, I'll know if by moving the engine over I am creating an exhaust issue while trying to fix a rear axle issue. It will also let me know if I will have any other interference issues I need to deal with that can be alleviated by where the engine is mounted.

Steve, thank you for all the pictures as this is a great help. Is your engine center mounted or did you offset it?

You have no issue with the Explorer axle because you need the offset for the U-joint anyway..you'll have more room than Andy will with the 302 in yours

Yes, but I'm fairly sure I won't be aligned perfect vertically (I'll be parallel) and some people say having both horizontal and vertical offset could be an issue. I have read almost as many people saying it shouldn't be an issue so I will be trying to minimize the offset both ways knowing I need at least one plane angled to rotate the u-joint needle bearings. This is a different subject than what this thread is about but I thought I'd just quickly explain my thoughts on the rear axle angles.
