Smoking 360
I need some help here guys. I've got a 65 F100 352, which had a cracked block, so toasted the engine. I got a 73 donor truck with a 360. The truck had been well taken care of but was parked for about 10 years, so a huge gamble on my part. Put the 360 into the 65 with no problems, initially, but now after a couple of weeks I'm getting some black smoke (some splatter too) on startup out of my new dual exhaust, and some white smoke after accelerating. After the truck is up to operating temp all smoke is gone. I've been taking it on a lot of short trips - I know this is not a good idea. Obviously the truck is running rich, but any other ideas as to why there would only be smoke when the engine is cold? The carb is a newly rebuilt 2bbl. Thanks.

I bought a truck that had been sitting, I bought it thinking some gaskets were messed as it burned white..alota white. Now it's fine and dandy
guess it was some kinda buildup of moisture some where.
