Sorry missed the link. I built a platform setup for mine. I also went with a higher leer cap. The ones I looked at didn't give me the space I needed for all my stuff. I would first ask yourself would your stuff all fit.
Does anyone have some input on these, likes or dislikes? I'm thinking about buying one in spring, but I want to learn more on its practicality, etc.
I'm in the market as well. You have to ask yourself what you plan to put inside them? I really liked the idea of this system. Trying to decided between Decked, or a Bedslide or a Bedslide mounted on top of the Decked system. Both seemed to be the best idea for awhile. How best to utilize the rear of this truck. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. All depends on what you think or how you think it will be used. For me I decided to go with just a Bedslide with my tools in tool boxes. With decked you still have the problem reaching stuff deep in the bed and anything that's not going into the draws has to be lifted another 10+ inches or so to put on top. . That's what leaned me towards just the bedslide . Depending on how far it actually extends and how far I can reach I'll probably get the side kicks as well. I just got my truck a few days ago. Looking to order the cap and bed slide next week.
I'm sure I will stuff full with all my truck gear, I also like the idea that its organized and sealed. But what bothers me is it is not a true 8' long, so there will be a large gap between the front of the bed and the Decked box,.........would hate to loose something up there and have to climb in and retrieve it.
I have one installed on my f350. I keep my boat gear (extra ropes, life jackets and such) in one side and storage boxes in the other side. I do like it and it will hold 1000 lbs on top, so you can still use the bed. It is water proof, they say water resistant, but I’ve never seen signs of leakage. One issue is that the drawers are longer than they pull out so if something small gets pushed all the way back it’s a pain getting it out. I installed mine by myself in a couple of hours at most. I would recommend.
I have the decked system now, along with a z series ARE cap
pros-
warmer to sleep on than the metal drawer system I had before
the black HDPE looks great
the accessories are good options (boxes, rails, etc)
cons-
the barrel nuts get loose over time .....I need to order replacements
the SS steel trim is an easy scratch/groove item
on a long bed, there is about 20" in the back of the bed that is not decked.....Id rather have that in the front
things like build right side wall brackets, side wall tool boxes, side wall water tanks dont work with the decked box

I put a 60"X18X18 metal tool box in the empty space so I can lock things there if needed.
on my someday list im going to use one of the ammo holes as an electrical outlet compartment for USB, cig lighter socket, some charge terminals
I like the setup becuase it gives me space for tools and toys that wont get space in a future travlel traler
I have one. It is the third one I have had in a truck now. It is pretty awesome. One thing I noticed is my 2020 F250 drives better now because the weight in the bed. I would recommend this system all day long.
Its the same as stuff sliding around on a metal bed.
I like the storage, and able to keep tolls organized, you can tell if your missing something. Also i have a roll up cover, so its easier to grab something out of the bed as its higher. You cant fit much under the bed cover but adding accouple brasses will help stuff not sliding around
Its a pain if you haul big items, as you need to secure them better.
The deck is say 14inches high, so loading heavy items is tougher.
For those of you that have the Decked system, is the top surface slippery? I have a rubber bed mat now so things don't slide around.
Not slippery to stand on in rubber-soled shoes, but a sledge hammer will slide around.
I've got the Decked boxes in my '18 F150 and it barely slips under the canister of my Bak Rollbak G2 retractable tonneau. I put the rails on top to carry my bike racks. If/when I order my F350 LB, I'll either transfer the Decked system to that truck (assuming it fits) or start anew.
