No such animal as a '65 F150. Either an F100 or F250. Even then, most parts interchange. Most important differences would be suspension components, axles and hubs etc as F100 was 5 lug and F250 was 8.
If swapping 4x4 body parts, F100 and F250 parts same. When swapping with 2wd, some parts different. Fenders can be different, also vaguely remember cab being different as well. Others can confirm.
We do see lots of 2WD trucks that have been converted. If you can get a picture of the warranty plate on the drivers door we can help make sure this one began life as a 4x4 if that's important to you. The beds, cabs, frames, etc. are different than a 2WD of the same year. Front fenders and hood, grille all will swap, but typically the fenders for a 2WD would be small radius opening whereas a 65 4x4 would be large radius front fenders in all cases originally.

Doesn't matter if it's been converted or not. Messed up my post title.
One is a 63 "f150" 4x4 (looks like a short bed from pics, but bed is not on it. Other one is a 65 2wd, long bed, plate says model is f100
My plan is to use parts from across the two of possible. The 65 is super solid. Long bed, but comes with a short bed. I could chop the frame of course but if I can spare myself the work I will. The 63 4x4 has a solid frame, a lot of new parts, new fenders, etc. I'm in michigan so id like to have the 4wd.
From research (correct me if I'm wrong) the f100 had a straight front axle until 65 when twin I beam was introduced. Which would be nice but I'm assuming I can't have the twin ibeam and 4x4.
So sounds like the cabs and beds won't interchange as in putting 65 cab on the 63. Unless the 63 was converted?
So to confirm the 63 cab won't swap on to the 4x4 frame? If this is correct, what am I looking at in swapping the drive train to the 63? Motor mounts and trans mounts most likely. Since the 63 was a straight axle up front the axle swap should be simple enough. Anything major I'm not considering?

63 cab has high step with older style front cab mounts so it should work as a bolt-hole replacement for all 1961-1966 4x4 frames except 1966 F100 4x4.
