Mystery Plug

I was installing a new wiper switch in my 79 F150, and while I had the dash apart, I found this plug to nowhere which seemed to be coming from the factory wiring harness. Couldn’t find the male end, but everything seems to be working. Any ideas?

That is a 12v keyed power plug.

Exactly. I used mine for my tachometer.

Same here, wired in for my tach, volt meter, (didn't want to go all the way to the battery) and I think something else as well.

AND apparently, there is another one of these around the glovebox area... same yellow color and 3 female ends.
