In forScan, rear park aid can be disabled in the settings of the BCM in the plain English settings.
Just got our 5th wheel and the tailgate down backup chime is a nuisance. In my 2022 F350, I don’t get a message to disable it. Does FORSCAN provide an option? And quite frankly, I am a tad apprehensive to use it for fear of screwing something up. After only three trips I can’t take that back up chime, so I’m willing to give FORSCAN a shot.

I would pose this question in the Forscan thread. I highly doubt it can be permanently silenced. I use the toggle down silence button. Not the best, but, works.

You know it's coming as soon as you put the truck in reverse with the tailgate down. Put truck in reverse, scroll down to off and it stops until you shut the truck off. It isnt that hard to know it is going to happen and push 2 buttons on the steering wheel you are already holding. I hook up at a minimum every 2 weeks if not weekly sometimes and yes it is annoying if you don't disable it right away. So is the alarm when you don't set it to Perimeter only with dogs in the truck but I have to do that too or my alarm goes off as soon as I walk into the store. Now I make sure to disable all alarms and select Perimeter only when I'm leaving my dogs in the truck. Muscle memory.
These trucks are watching you day and night, AI on wheels.
Had the windows down at a crowded grocery store and proceeded to place a few bags on the back seat without opening the door, BEEP BEEP BEEP until I could reach for the keys.
