Exhaust modification question
It has a single muffler on the passenger's side. The two 2-1/2 inch exhaust pipes connect to the muffler. One 2-1/2 inch tail pipe exits the muffler.
Two 2-1/2 inch exhaust pipes entering muffler
One 2-1/2 inch tail pipe exiting muffler
I'm wondering if it is possible to modify the muffler to add a second tail pipe parallel to the original. I'd like the two tail pipes to flow approximately the same. The objective is to get a better flow to the exhaust without increasing the noise level.
Thanks.
a 3" single adapted right behind the muffler would be your best bet. the short 2 1'2 section wouldn't restrict things much at all. though I really question if the benefit would be worth the effort.
The other thing you could do it what I have, put two 48" glass packs on your head pipes and run 2 1/2 tail pipes off those. it has a soft mellow sound that beats the high dollar exhaust systems I've put on muscle cars all to heck. I never liked glass packs but it was because they were too short, long ones sound great.
