2016 F-250, almost 62,000 miles. Got the mileage countdown on my Exhaust Fluid Range so I put in almost 5 gallons of DEF (the tank wouldn't take anymore). The truck is still giving me the mileage countdown even after letting it idle, driving, etc. Do these sensors go bad? Is it something i can replace or do I need to take it in? Any tricks to try? Thanks!
Don't know how many times you've driven it since topping off the tank, but I had one case when I refilled the tank and the warning took quite a few drive cycles before the warning cleared. No clue why, but others have reported the same. So I'd recommend you wait and see how it acts after a few more drive cycles, and hopefully it'll clear for you.
Thanks for the advice to just wait it out. It finally went away. I guess my truck wanted to mess with my OCD! Ha! Thanks again....
My truck did that to me when I was in Mackinaw Michigan. I was towing our 5th wheel at the time. We live in California so not close to home. I was going nuts trying to cleat the code. Nothing worked. Got down to about 150 miles till limp mode and light went away. Now i know It doesn't get to me LOL
