Auto Headlights Question

I have a cap on the auto headlight sensor on the dash, so... my headlights come on when i turn the key on.. 1/2 the time, my headlights don't come on, or... I'm driving down the road at night, and wa-la... out goes the headlights.. looking at the drawing, doesn't show much, its the magic box, leads go in and you have no idea where they go.. it says its an Integration Relay? if so, where the heck is it located so I can change it out, unless someone has a clue to why this is happening? thanks in advance..oh yes, its a 2002 F-250 SD Lariat 7.3L.. 4WD

I have a 2002 F250 7.3 XLT and no such mystery box or auto on headlights. Have actually installed a relay harness to bypass the headlight switch for power and get 12V direct from battery.
Is this a stock set up? or

I tried the cap thing, seems a coke bottle top lets in just enough light that it only works when it wants. in forscan you can turn on DTRL and thrown the cap away.
On a side note when I was just at the do it yourself carwash, I soaped up the windshield and my headlights came on, I thought someone had jumped in my truck!
