On a cold start I get a flash on message screen "Check Brake System". It only appears for a split second and then its gone and doesn't come back till the next cold start. 2017 6.7 Lariat with adaptive cruise.
I would appreciate any help with this one.
How many miles on the truck? Maybe you do need to check the brakes...Maybe its the start of the light staying on as the pads wear? Low brake fluid? Bad sensor?
My truck is only a year old with 15K miles and dealer replaced batteries once at 4K miles due to them leaking. About a month ago at start up I got all kinds of wrenches, odd lights and warnings. I went replaced the batteries with Norstar replacements. Yep 700.00 a pair, but guess what, no more leaks, no more warning lights, etc. Factory ones were both in the green but I wouldn't even mess with the stock ones.

Thanks.
many have had the issue including me. Replacing the batteries resolved it. Use a battery tester to check your batts, one of mine had a bad cell.
I had already purchased the batteries before I read the further suggestions. I went with Interstates from Costco. It was beginning to turn over slowly and now it spins well. Looks like it solved the message issue, I will know for sure in the morning.
Batteries. May 2017 purchased F-350 got brake warning recently. Drivers side battery 100% charge, but CA down to 400. Getting new batts. today. Another clue was truck started to go into high idle at stop lights.
Sounds like me exactly. 2017 6.7 with 60K miles - had to jump it twice in the last 3 weeks on cool mornings. Was getting the "Hill Assist" and "Traction Control" warnings also, but hit the grey connector next to the spare with dielectric grease got rid of those two errors. Went with the Costco Interstates for $99.99. That fixed the momentary "Check Brake System" alert. I wanted to at least consider the Interstate AGMs for $164.99, but the tire guy at Costco said his Interstate rep told him they will not have them for several months "due to COVID." That simplified the choice and saved me $130.
