Been working to get the new to us Excursion ready for our maiden voyage with the new camper. Decided to head to Shawnee National Forrest. About a 6-6.5 hour drive. I pulled the camper around here the other night to sort some stuff out. The stock mirrors made it a little difficult to see well, so I added some TYC tow mirrors. Power adjust and heated. Manual folding and telescoping.

My Excursion came with those mirrors. You will notice a huge difference.
Just got back from our first camping adventure. Mirrors on the Excursion worked great. Took a little bit of time to get used to them, but without them towing would have been much more stressful.
Glad to hear the trip went well and you like the bigger mirrors!
Its hard to tell from the picture but how much squat and front end raise are you getting when fully hooked up?

I don’t remember my actual measurements. I know that I got my front back to either where it was prior to hookup, or maybe 1/2” lower. I think I ended up with maybe 2” lower in the back, but not sure. I should know by now I need to write stuff down if I want to remember it. Here is a little better picture. Overall it handled well. We had some decent cross winds and it was pretty easy to control.
You might want to look in to an Airlift system. Should help the squat and improve drive ability.
Funny you should mention that. I was just looking at them this morning. I am going to hit a CAT scale this spring before we take it out to make sure my WDH is shifting the weight like it should. If it is, I am planning on adding an air bag system.

Thanks. The Excursion did really well. We already have reservations for some weekends this coming season along with some items for the Ex. Y-pipe, tune, Air Bags and brake controller.
I have some exhaust studs to fix along with the usually fluid change maintenance and brakes.
Good to read that the tow mirrors worked out great for you.
I ordered tow mirrors from Amazon's 3 party but FedEx said that they couldn't find my address so never got delivered and were sent back to seller .

I've lived in this same house for over 20 yrs and am a Prime Amazon buyer with UPS, Ontrac andFedEx delivering in all those years so this driver must not be able to read house numbers. LOL
I have towed my 23' boat with my new to me e350 Super Duty with no problem but have yet towed my 28' TT. I'll reorder the mirrors and specifically ask for USP delivery.

As long as you have your front end where it should be , 1 to 2'' of squat in the rear is fine. Everything doesn't have to be level and a slightly nose down configuration of the TT will help mitigate sway.
