Hi guys just a quick question. I'm in the process of swapping my 95 f250 7.3 e4od over to a zf5. My truck is a super cab Long bed.
The only thing I'm missing for my swap is a rear driveshaft.
My question is will a rear driveshaft from an identical truck except it's a 460 instead of 7.3 fit in mine? I'd assume it's be the same length do to trans mounts but can somebody confirm.
The truck is going to the crusher tomorrow and he wants $80 for the driveshaft so I'd like to know asap. Thank you.
I think the transmissions mount in the same position, since the shifter comes out the same hole in the floor. That would mean that the driveshafts are the same.
For what it;s worth, if the u-joints are good, I would pay 80 just for them.

Thanks for the reply never thought about the point of the shifter hole.
I forgot to mention the 460 truck is a 5 speed lol but same year and wheelbase as mine.
