Oh wow, the calibration codes are the same for the computer, and I also found a match in some spares my dad has collected over the years, I pulled the MAP sensor off another running truck and swapped the 2, but made no difference.. honestly with the amount of driving that I’ll do with the truck, it’s about a few more tests away from an HEI distributor and a carb setup, I may lose this battle but I’ll win this war!!
calibration code, isnt on the computer, it is on the B pillar of truck door, if you post the calibration code, our guru's can tell you what PCM you should have.

It seems like more and more people on this forum think so but going backwards to a carburetor is not a win. There is the computer, some wiring and only a handful of sensors. The system isn’t that complicated. Unfortunately the computers seem to be failing at a higher rate due to age and the reman units are ‘hit and miss’ like a lot of replacement parts.
Your right... all the others I’ve ever had or worked on are super simple and easy to diagnose and work on, but this one here is putting up a fight and got many many people stumped... off of this site I have about 55 years of combined ASE Master Techs and a few others that don’t take vehicles to shops, stumped as well but I kinda enjoy the learning and troubleshooting, I have a Ford service manual for it in the mail, should help me a bit
Oh, and lucky me, the calibration code is missing, you can see where it use to be, the computer that’s in the truck now came from it’s identical twin, same year, engine, trans, rear gear, etc.
