2020 Diesel F_350
Does anyone know if you can special order a 6 spd auto in 2021, 2022?
I have the 10 spd in my 2020 and its very disappointing when it come to the exhaust brake hold back.
Had a 2018 and a 2019 they held back far better than this 2020.
It seems to speed up for a couple seconds before it engages?

I'm gonna say NO, it's only available in the stripped chassis and F650-750 if memory serves
No, there is no way to special order the 6 speed transmission in the 2021 Super Duties. The 6.7L is not the same as the 2017-2019 6.7 that was backed by the 6R140, nor the 6.7L in the F650-750, and the changes were more than mere software changes. It would be extremely difficult to fit the 6 speed in place of the 10 speed.
There may be something wrong. I find the exhaust braking much stronger on the '20 with the ten speed vs. my brothers '19 with a 6 speed. Just a thought.

Same here.
I pulled my 16K lbs 5th wheel to New Mexico and back last month. Coming back over Raton Pass, the brake worked as well as any other truck I've used for pulling. I set the cruise control to what I wanted and watched the PCM row through the gearbox to keep the speed under control. It was actually pretty cool.
We were in the Colorado Rockies in September with our new truck and 14,700 pound fifth wheel. I thought the exhaust brake worked better than our previous 2017 F350 dual. I've never had a smoother shifting transmission.
