Just another old pickup ! If anyone is interested,I have many pictures of work I had to perform on this before I felt it good enough to finally drive a bit. I am not sure I want to try to post them all here ?
"Hi", the truck is a 1946, Canadian built at the Windsor ,Ontario plant. I tried to post pictures on here yesterday showing some of the repair work I had to do but unfortunately, I am not able to find them now ! I would be more than happy to send a few to anyone's email ? Former owner should be embarrassed by it's condition. My fault for getting "sucker punched" but this happens when you don't go see it in person ! I love driving it better than the 40 Deluxe coupe if that makes any sense ?
Finally truck pictures!
After several false starts Bob got me pictures to post. I am posting these in the order of picture ID so I hope that is correct.
Got another email with a few more pictures. Text with the email: Because of the heater location, you could not replace the glove box with correct replacement. I had to fabricate my own which works well. Also took heater motor apart and rewired . Was only able to use sides of subframe and had to fabricate a two foot section of that.,new crossmembers and new headboard as well as new side panels,(discovered afterwards they are both distorted in center both sides !) Not what I had hoped but what do ya do ? Still using the original rear gate, but might change that out too at some point.
