low speed detonation
You've got to fill us in as to where you heard about this Sea Foam idea+why it works! I have an open mind and I'm always willing to learn+ try new things!

Hi saskatchewan ,
Are these plugs hotter than the ones you had in there before that you may know of?
Ranger95's decarbonizer sounds right! (Carbon build up creates HOT-SPOTS, hence your low speed detonation problem!)
Maybe check w/ the place you purchased them from.
I'll check to see if there are any threads pertaining to this same question and I suggest that you do the same.
You also mentioned Canada! How come you don't say "Ae" in every sentence, Ae?

Got to check this site out! Beats the Jiffy-Lube Decarb price wise!

I checked out that Sea Foam stuff on its web site. It looks pretty crazy. I will have to see if I can find it. How did you put it in the Manifold?
Did you just pour it in the throttle body?
As for the plugs, I used the ones recommended by NGK however, I set the gap a bit more narrow. I many just put in a set of Ford plugs and see if there is an improvement.
As for "Eh". I come from western Canada so, I talk more like someone from Montana. When I was in Italy last year and periodically attempting to commit Italian, people kept asking me if I was from Mexico!?!?
Still have not figured that one out.
Any more automotive suggestions (on things other than the way I talk)?
I poured about 1/3 of the can into a container, then I disconnected the Brake Booster Hose at the booster.
With the engine running I put the hose in the container with the liquid, making sure not to cause a hydrolock.
Turn the ignition off after the whole liquid is absorbed by the vaccum
Waited about 5 min and cranked it again (at this time the hose is back in place)
Big smoke cloud for about 30 min (is normal) and reving it once or twice to make sure is burning all the deposits.

Just mess'in around with ya', nothing personal...1 big happy family we have here @ FTE!
So...
What are gapping you plugs with+what you setting them at? Under you hood, on the radiator shroud/cover, there is a "VECI label that will tell were they should be set at.

I seem to recall that I gapped them at 44 thousandths but, I will have to check my service book to make sure.
I looked it up in the Haynes guide and I thought that it said 42 to 46 thousandths.
