Remote Start - Installed Option or FordPass - Question?
I thought of something this morning as I started my 2019 F-450 with my FordPass App? I used it last winter, but we were in FL for a good part of the really cold weather with the truck camper, so never thought much of it! Does either the FordPass App or the installed Ford Remote Start Option (which I don't have) delay start for the glow plugs to work during cold weather? I'm not sure if either one has any way of knowing (or if the truck would just do it) and allow the glow plugs to do their thing, then start the engine when the light goes out (or glow plug on/off signal clears)??? Interesting question for someone on here that might work for Ford in the Diesel Group maybe? Thanks in advance...

This has been discussed in other threads, and the short answer is yes. The computer will not let the truck start until it's ready. The computers in these things are pretty smart. Way smarter than you or I.
