Cellphone volume too low

I have had several complaints from people I am speaking to that I am very difficult to hear while on a call on my 2020 F-250 Lariat. This happens when I am plugged into the truck. Volume for them is normal when I unplug and use Bluetooth. I called the dealership and did not get any straight info from them. Any thoughts why this would be and more importantly how to fix it?

Try increasing volume when on the phone. As I remember a previous thread some years ago, the only way to change volume of a specific device, is to be active on that device when increasing the truck volume control. Hope it works.

Can you give me a little detail on this? I'm having the same issue.

Thanks for the link to the thread, Boss. I guess I will give a +1 for having a better search tool on this forum. I looked but did not find this one.

When connected to the truck using an Apple lightning cable (CarPlay) the volume that the other person hears is very low. All is normal using Bluetooth. I have tried two different phones with the same result and both phones work normally on my wife’s Kia and my previous F-150.

I am reasonably certain it is not the microphone in the truck, or the cable but is related to CarPlay. I hope to get a call from the dealership sound guy this week. We will see if he knows anything.

I have the exact same issue on my 2020. Have been unable to solve it.

I did a search here for others with the same issue. I came up with a thread called: 2020 F-350 King Ranch Apple Car play volume issue".

I hope there you can find your answers.
