A buddy of mine has a '99 cc lb dulley and he said when he is in some heavy mud and he has to use low range he said it feels like the truck defuels, in high range it runs like normal. Anyone have this prob? He is in construction and is always pulling trailers through some nasty places!

 

Is he hitting the rev limiter while in low range?

When I had the automatic, it would limit speed to 35mph. If his is the same, maybe that is what he is seeing.

 

He didn't say it was a speed problem it just wouldn't rev out. I just talked to him and he said it has never done it empty just twice now with a trailer hooked to it and loaded! It might just be all it wants!

 

Does he have any mods?

 

The truck has 285000 miles
On it and had a burnt PCM on it since brand new. And no major repairs except the 6 or so tranneys all replaced by ford with new ones!
