I've been searching for a little while and haven't yet found the definitive answer, so I'm hoping someone may be able to help me out. Some 1998 with a factory towing package have a pigtail/harness/connector already installed and some do not (etrailer).
I bought a 1998 F-150 Supercab 4x4 Lariat yesterday and it has the towing package from what I can tell (receiver, oil cooler, 4 pin flat and 7 pin round connecter, etc.).
I just took a look under the driver's side of the dash/knee bolster and saw what might be a factory harness/connector for a brake controller. Actually two connectors that could be the brake controller connector, or something completely unrelated.
The etrailer site said if there was a connector, it'd be near the data port. My truck does have a connector there. There's also a very similar one to the left.
Is this the connector where I'd plug my controller in? And if so, could someone point me in the direction for a harness that connects to my controller - it's an old Tekonsha Voyager XP. Is this ^^^ the connector? Or is this ^^^ the connector?
