Cruise Control Accelerating By Itself!

I've got a '93 Bronco with the all-electronic servo based cruise control. Sometimes when I'm driving with cruise engaged, the truck will start to accelerate. It will go up 5-10 mph and then drop back down to the original set point. If I cancel cruise by stepping on the brake during the acceleration and then press resume, it goes back to the original set point. This kind of defeats the purpose of cruise control since I now have to pay attention to my speedometer again. Anyone have a clue what's happening here?

Just a shot in the dark here, but you might try disconnecting the connector at the speed sensor, make sure it's clean, and reconnect it.
