Can I upgrade mirrors?

Hello.

I have a 2019 F150 XLT with the standard powered side mirrors (non power fold). Due to a bad miscommunication between the passenger and driver, I basically trashed the passenger side mirror. I am looking at parts for a replacement (I'm confident I can do the replacement with no issue), and found a pair of mirrors with heating/turn/power option on it from 1a Auto. My question is, since my current mirrors do not have the turn signal or heated option, can I just order the ones from 1aAuto to upgrade the mirrors or are there electronics/computer changes that I will need to do and/or install? Since I'm new to the forum, I am not 100% sure on the link posting, but I can provide a link to the ones I'm looking at getting.

Thanks for any help,
Josh

If your truck has BLIS you should already have the 22 pin mirror harnesses if not you'll need to swap your 8 pin mirror harnesses for 22 pin harnesses. You'll also need a new switch that has the power fold option. If not equipped with BLIS you'll need a module for each door for the power fold option. I believe it will also need some programming with FORSCAN.
I've never done this mod, I just looked into doing it a couple years ago but didn't so I'm sure I'm missing some details. I've also read to not go with aftermarket mirrors. I'm sure you could make them work but a lot of aftermarket mirrors are missing the ambient air temp sensor that got moved to the mirror in I think 2019? It's definitely not a cheap mod but neither is replacing broken mirrors every now and again.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah my truck has the 8 pin connector. The ones with the turn/heater supposedly have the temp sensor and are 8pin so I'm still wondering if they would work as a direct swap. I can't seem to find the oem replacement in stock anywhere. I guess I'll have to make a call/trip over to the local ford dealer and see.
