just received my Tabco floor pans and cab corners for my 1977 F150 --- the Right hand cab corner has no flange and you can see the pencil mark where someone has trimmed it -- the Right hand cab floor pan is not correct i think it is a cheap Chinese panel,,not formed right and no coating just raw steel --- -- called Tabco right away and spoke with Tim there and he totally denied any issues gave me all kinds of excuses and will not rectify the problem-- what do i do now. and how do i post pics to this site.

Reason: load pics
The pics part is easy. Getting a result from Tabco sounds like another matter. If they're not making them in-house (and not many do) then it sounds to me like you got a used panel that had been returned after the previous customer had messed with it. And they didn't bother to check.
If they do check all incoming returns, then someone screwed up.
For pics, click on the "Go Advanced" button next to the "quick reply" button below.
In the new window scroll down slightly to the "Manage Attachments" button.
In the new pop-up window click on "From My Device" (if your pics are already on your phone or computer) and then follow the rest of the prompts.
Once you've selected an image, you'll need to click on "Upload" in the upper right of the window. It will then show up in your post.
I used to know how to do multiple images, but I forget. I think it will prompt you though.
A hint is to place the cursor where you want the image to show up before you click on the manage attachments button. But you can still edit and most things around later if you decide you don't like how it's showing up with the text.
I am pretty sure tabco is who supplies most venders with panels that are US made. The only problem I have had with them is if they are out of stock on a part they may wait until they have a enough orders to do a 'run".
If anything I would bet the sheet metal got out of alignment somehow when being stamped.
The quality on lots (not all) of the panels for old cars and trucks is not necessary that great but the american made ones are usually stamped out of heavier gauge steel compared to chinese.
Definitely upload some pics. Others who have bought panels from them can tell you if they look right.
Can you email them the pictures? I cannot imagine that the one on the left should be missing a the flange.
i did send photos to Tabco ,,, but when i called Tim at Tabco and mentioned that the flange was missing he told me i wanted it that way - the only thing we had discussed was he asked me what length i needed for the cab corner because they don't have /make the 19 inch cab corners any more which are the panels i ordered -- as far as the floor pan again he stated nothing is wrong with it -- it looks terrible when compared to the left hand panel -- his only solution was for me to smash the 2 panels up and he would refund my money ???? i am not asking for the moon here just the correct panel but their customer service is terrible ,,, i spent $484.00 US + Canadian exchange rate + UPS brokerage charge ( $89.00 ) not too happy with the results and his attitude..
So mine are for a 67-72 but do not look that different. The quality is not great but I do not think there is a quality floor pan out there for these trucks. The only reason I bought mine was to save the time of making them myself. I don't have much advice other than that... I have read people having good experiences with tabco but maybe that is changing. That would be disappointing.
I like the idea of thicker material (if that's in fact true) but they sure don't look to be of any higher quality than the more common imported stuff. I must have missed the discussions about Tabco since I was not aware of a regular source of US made floor pans. But going by the look of the bends on John-9's pans, they look sub-par to say the least.
Unless they were damaged in shipping maybe? Never seen bends like that from a well formed stamping. They look hand-made in the worst sense of that word. Your early pans look much better, but still have some of that "kinking" according shape around the corners.
Looks like you could hammer those out as you go, but unless I'm missing something it looks like a lot of extra work to get them to mate up to what should be the smoother metal of the original floor.
Guess I should wait to see some in place, but that's what they look like to me at a glance. Maybe they are in fact hand made, and are very good quality for being such. Just seems that a real stamping would have smoother transitions and curves.
Guess too that I should look up Tabco and see what their website says before passing judgement.
I deleted my pics because they were wrong generation but mine looked just like Lrrrr's pans. I only used the bottoms and about half way up towards the firewall though. These were the only replacement metal parts I have ever dealt with. So I have no other experience for comparison.
After looking at their site again, they are the same pans from 67-79.

Call Tabco. Find out who the Owner is. Get him on the phone. If not, get his mailing address or email address and send him your complaint complete with digital photos and the name of the employee you spoke to. In other words, bump it upstairs. You've got nothing to lose and may be doing you, and us a favor.
I wouldn't give up but I wouldn't get my hopes up either. in these situations most of the time I've found the outfits that make low quality products know they make low quality products and the only thing new is now you know it too. if they cared what you thought they'd make a better product or quit , you know you're not the first to have gripes with their junk. . so unless you know where you can find something better probably your best bet is to make it work and buy elsewhere next time.
Terrible that you see complete floor pans offered for the more popular models. The AMD ads and web site seem to argue that their product is USA made and accurate. Have not seen much here to confirm or deny their assertions. Anyone have an AMD case study to share? See: Correct As Original Restoration Parts for your car or truck project.
Have yet to buy a floor pan that didn't have to be cut beat an hammered an use body dollies an massaged in to work , but they will work its just some might be better but in general there about the same ,,the cab corner would be an issue and sent back , in general I use paypal online and you can get some protection that way as I have gotten refunds that way but you have to act as soon as you get the part in question , but after market is a crap shoot at best and floor pans are the worse to deal with but have replaced a quarter panel or 2 with lots of work needed to get it to fit
