I changed the clutch in April. About 2 months ago I started hearing an aweful noise from the underside of my pickup...Someone else here at the forum described it as a "Chewbacca yell" which is precisely it. I replaced the Slave Cyl. because the release bearing was really worn. Tonight I replaced the clutch (becuase it was still under warrenty for a little while yet) hoping that would end the embarrasing noises! Still screams...sounds like I am in a bad version of Star Wars!
Any suggestions??? or thoughts???

Also, there is side-to-side movement of my Input shaft. I assume this is NOT normal...could this be the calprit?
The input shaft on a manual transmission is supported by two bearings, the Input shaft bearing in the transmission and the Pilot bearing in the rear of the crankshaft.
The OP thought that his input shaft play was not normal ( and it is not if you remove your transmission and the input shaft points to China ). A little side play is normal when you remove the transmission and thus remove the support of the Pilot bearing ( 1/8th" Play-OK, 1/4" Play, time for concern. Pointing to China, Trip to NAPA ).
