Happened to be out in the shop and looked at our 2020 Lariat with the 110V outlets, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, etc. - it has a 760CCA AGM in it. Likely the smaller alt if it got the smaller battery (since it looks like they go together)... Well that was fun for a little while...
Has the battery been changed, the 2020 specs state it should have the 800CCA battery? If not, then Ford will point to this little caveat:

Maybe they had too many smaller batteries laying around or they wanted to save a few bucks.

Not changed to my knowledge. Factory ordered, picked up shortly after it arrived at dealership in Sept... Wonder what Alt I have....
Didn't you replace your battery with an AGM type? I'm pretty sure I did and I used the same replacement as you did from O'Rielly.
Never mind. You have the 3.5EB.
Yep, exactly 3 years ago. The new one has never caused an issue. The OEM one had cranking problems weeks before it died an early death. It is a group 48, 680 CCA non AGM Super Start Premium.
Yes, I am 100% sure now.
I pulled up my specification PDF to double check. The PPV was introduced as a 2018 model year (not 2017) and made use of the 240A alternator already found on the F150.
Here is the link for ford announcing the 2018 as the world first F150 PPV: https://media.ford.com/content/fordm...responder.html
No matter which engine you choose, the 240A alternator is only on Lariat trim and higher. See below cut and paste jobs I did...I didn't include the performance graphs of the alternators at various temps & RPMs.
I think many things changed with the electrical system starting with the 2017 F150 or the Canadian F150’s come standard with the higher output alternator.
A higher output alternator and a more powerful battery is always a good thing on most but not all vehicles.
My 2016 Lariat came with an AGM battery and a couple of months ago when I had to replace it, I used a Diehard Platinum AGM battery which is a bit more powerful than the stock AGM Motorcraft battery.
