I have recently been thinking of turbocharging my 2004 Ford Expedition. I have barely been able to find out any information in regards to that so I thought I’d start my own thread.
As per my research I see that most parts are interchangeable between the Ford F-150 and Expedition for my year. With that being said, I am thinking that I could buy a turbo kit for the F-150 due to them not having one for an Expedition. In theory it should just be bolt on due to them both being the 5.4L Triton. What do you guys think?
Also, if any one has attempted this and there is a forum about it, would you please link it ? And or if you have done this would it work bolting straight on or would I have to fabricate a few parts for it ?
There wasn't a turbo kit when these were new, the F150 had a little support with a supercharger. You are going to be on your own, most of the companies are long gone and nobody supports the old 2v engines.
Probably be miles ahead just buying a 3.5L EcoBoost in whatever platform you want it in, truck or SUV. Let your Expy die an honorable low performance steed's death from old age.....
