Been searching for some 17" wheel options with negative offset and cant seem to find any. I can only find wheels with "0" offset, nothing with more than 4.25" backspacing either. Our 8 on 170 pattern seems to have far less options than those with the 8 on 6 1/2" pattern.
Looking for a wheel that would push the tires out a bit as I am hoping to get some steering back, as well as some additional clearance to the inner rear wheel wells, with 37" + tires without running wheel spacers.
Yes I know about additional stress on wheel bearings, ball joints, etc.
Currently on Method NV's and love them, just looking at options...
Method caters to the off road crowd who like the centered wms so they dont break stuff, look at some of the street fashion brands like XD or moto metal, they have your -12 wheels.

Camo, you have 40’s on your Ex, how’s the clearance in the rear to the inner fenders? I don’t recall If you have swapped the rear axle to 05’ + which is wider.
I agree on the off road aspect in regards to backspace/leverage/breakage. My other rig runs 5.25” backspace Walker Evans beadlocks for all the reasons.
Just hoping to pick up a little extra room. Could be a waste of effort though.
Yes 40s, if I recall correctly ATX 17x9 -12 offset 4.5 bs
the back just kisses at full articulation, or at least as hard as I have been able to flex it which wasn’t to the bump but with the stock shackles and Procomp 22415 rear springs no block I don’t think it will. Bumps are setup for bottoming out whoop style not articulation.
One of these days I plan to go 05+ axles and keep the same rims for another 2.5” of width.
front is linked and just kisses the link at full lock,
