Hey guys my truck got hit and it took out the mirror on my King Ranch. Now of course it is being replaced by insurance from the person that hit it. However, Ford says it needs to be calibrated once installed because it has the blind spot and a camera in it.
So does this mirror really have to be calibrated because these sensors are being replaced or is Ford just really just pulling everyone's legs with this?
I can see how the side camera would need to be calibrated/aligned, but I thought the BLIS was only a warning light in regards to the mirror and the actual BLIS radar was in the tail light? That could be wrong... but either way I would think some calibration time is reasonable regardless.
Nobody told me I needed to do this when I replaced my passenger side mirror! All systems have been working fine for over a year now with no error messages.
i need 2 parts off that and one of them is broken, what do you want for the mirror? send me a paypal address and i will pay shipping and what ever you want for the mirror.
First time posting here. I just replaced my drivers side mirror assembly after a hit and run with one I found at a salvage yard for the same price as my deductible. I have a 2019 XL gasser with heated mirrors and 360 camera system. The new assembly came with a camera, and everything works just fine with a straight up swap and plug, including the new camera integrating with the 360 camera views. The ‘new’ (used) assembly came with puddle light, and of course that doesn’t work on my XL, but no biggie.
