Death wobble? Shaking acceleration.

When my 1978 f-150 351m idles, everything is fine. When I accelerate it shakes pretty violently the faster I go. If I push in the clutch while driving, and rev it, there is so shaking response, however when I am just driving and push the gas, it starts shaking bad. So bad that it shook my ignition wire loose and I died on the side of the road. It seems like suspension, but I don’t know where. Help!

2wd or 4wd?

I would start by checking the U-joints first, primarily as it is pretty easy to do.

Then jack up the front and check for loose wheel bearings/suspension parts.

Checking the u joints isn't a bad idea but is sounds more like a miss . under load a dead cylinder is much more drastic.

But if it's so bad it's knocking things off you may have something more going on.
