I remember the steam powered trains when I was a kid. There used to be one that one that went along the tracks about a half mile south of our house in Toronto

I can remember some steam trains here as a kid but they mostly had already changed over to diesel electric in the late 50s.

I think they only took it for a joy ride once in awhile because there were more diesel trains ..

Patty's dad started working for the Burlington Northern RR in1947.

He talked about Big Boy was quite the locomotive.

On the River we have a steam paddle wheeler that has excursions that is pretty neat.
