Winter Truck
I've been looking for a winter truck, so that I can put my Mustang away for the winter. I found an '87 F150 4X4 w/ a 460, 3" lift and 33" tires. Hopefully gonna go check it out soon, is there anything special I should look for, problem spots on these trucks? I would really love to get a Ford pickup, oh btw it has 112,000 miles.

That doesn't sound like a bad price, but I am real concerned if it is a 150 with a 460 in it. That isn't original, so who knows what has been done. A true 87 should be carbed, but since we know that the motor wasn't original to a 150, it could be an older motor as well. If the body is good to fair and it runs good, just double check things like tranny, suspension components and make sure that they are good. If they did indeed put a 460 in a 150, the front suspension components will fail earlier due to the weight.
I guess this is what it boils down to:
if it runs good
you feel that it is worth 2250
you don't mind having to remedy a possible poorly done transplant
I'd go for it.
