1971 F250 Highboy

Hey guys I’m new to the forum! Figured Id share some pics of my project. It’s a 71 highboy with a 390 4 speed. The truck came from Oregon and I’m the 3rd owner. All original besides the hood. Been doing odds and ends to her, rebuilt the 390 this year and doing some rust repairs. Currently Working on inside/ outside cab corners. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Really nice truck. But the engine isn't original either. No 1967 to 1972 F250 4x4 came with a 390, all were either 6cyl., 352 or 360.

No 390's until 1968, were not available with 4WD .. 1965/67: Only V8 was the 352.

Managed to get the f-600 hood scoop I believe? on today. Really digging the look! Just needs to get painted

I don't like the scoop... So go ahead and take it off and ship it to me for proper disposal on my hood!

Hahahaha I’m not 100% sure if I’m gonna keep it on or not. Not to sure yet if it suits the stock look 🤔

Managed to finish the cab corners, very happy with how they turned out, can barely tell anything happened! Also got the scoop paint matched and mounted, really digging it!
