Loud Green Machine
Hello, All. New member here from Montana. Have been lurking for awhile and decided that it was time to join up. Might get in on the Blue Top group deal. This is the Loud Green Machine, a '77 F150, heater and keys model. I bought it a few years ago for $2600. The interior was gutted but it had a new set of 31x10.50-15s on it, so I figured that I wouldn't get hurt too bad. 400, Performer intake, (seemingly well used) Edelbrock carb, headers, dual exhaust with 8" racing mufflers, 4 speed. The po had things set up in an interesting fashion; PCV valve with no breather, for example. Since owning this truck I have converted the rear brakes to discs, Wilwood master cylinder, all new door seals and door window gaskets, reupholstered the seat, Hi-Liner headliner, retro radio, new door panels, new floor mat, new dash pad, instrument cluster bezel, ignition parts, and a lot of tuning to the carb. Got her running and stopping well, now. A ton of work bringing the severely oxidized paint back to something with some shine. Lots of patina and there isn't a straight panel on the truck, but it's solid with no rust. Hoping to contribute to the group in some way. -Robert
