Last fall I bought a 1948 F3. Just got it back from body and paint and now trying to put it together. I got the truck along with a few boxes of parts. One of the boxes was a very rusty heater not assembled. I tested the core and it held so I sent the unit to get blasted and powder coated. Now trying to put it together which is always harder if you didn't take it apart. Got the heater together and fan spinning. Now I need a little help identifying one bracket and, more importantly determine where it goes. Can anyone help? Also, the controls are missing the *** for the fan switch. Anybody have one for sale?
ale? Can't find one at the usual after market sites.
That makes sense but try as I may I just can't seem to make sense of where it mounts. Can't find matching holes any where. Hope to find a pic of one installed. Thanks
Denny knows pretty much everything there is to know about our heaters. He buys, refurbishes, and sells a lot of heaters and parts. He even makes a few detail parts himself.
(Not to mention he has a couple of award winning trucks)
Yes it is a cable control bracket but not for a Magic Air heater , block lettered FORD recirculating heater or car heater of our era vehicles .Please post a pic of the heater .
