I know Ford has a kit for automatic headlamps. But it includes daytime running lamps which I don't care for. Is it possible to just get the headlight switch and the module/sensor that goes under the dash pad (and the dash pad of course for the sensor hole)? Or is it possible to not use the DRLs of the kit (and the kit looks like factory?)
Probably either option is possible. I got the Ford auto headlamp kit and hooked it up so that I could have the DRL's or not. You can easily omit the DRL's.
However, you should be aware that the kit as it came to me, did not have the headlight switch with the "A" position like the factory ones do. I had to add that switch, otherwise you cannot override the auto control if you want to turn them off. Well, actually, you could always override them by putting on the emergency brake to the first notch without really engaging it, but I didn't like that way.
