I am experiencing a loud whiny noise, from the front passenger tire area, when I turn left. I replaced the sway bar links about 2 years ago because one broke. I did not purchase high end parts. The metal tabs on the lower a arm are almost worn off. The vehicle is a 2008 2wd f-150 5.4 with just over 60000 miles on it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Well years ago the mechanic told me when the noise comes from the right side when turning left its the passenger side in trouble usually a wheel bearing . He was correct my 2wd passenger rotor bearing was bad. I let him replace it at 60k . Sounds like you have more than one front end trouble . Fronts can be dangerous ,you can lose a wheel or steering at speed . I get right on it and use new good improved parts ,usually MOOG . .I redid all my bushings-ball joints etc .
You must go down a lot of bad roads or salty ones . I believe in washing under the truck if I run in salt water. I either do it at a diy wash rack or some car washs here do it after a hurricane flood . If I lived up north I would let them do it once a month ,ya gotta get that stuff off with soap and rinse good .
