New to the forum, and super excited about my 28k mile 1989 F350. It is a California smog car, but I would love to go the other way and have a big stroker and no cats. I won't be driving it more than 100 miles a year so I don't care about MPG and other factors aren't a huge concern.
Any suggestions on proven builds? Of course, bang for a buck is always nice too.
1989 you've got a D9TE block and those have a cylinder that's about .200 longer than any other production block. This is helpful with a stroker especially a 4.500 stroke with a 6.700 rod length because it gives a little more support to the piston at BDC.
These engines are the easiest engines ever to make big with a stroker crank. 4.500 stroke is no problem and requires no grinding.
