Question. Is there just one version of Forscan? IOW would the same program work for both the F150 and the wife's Edge?

I believe it will work on numerous Ford vehicles. I'm saying this just from reading the Forscan forum where there are questions about several Ford vehicles. Edge is one of them

Just some advice - before you change ANYTHING in Forscan, use the program to download and save on your computer the factory configuration of any (or all) modules you intend to fiddle with. That way if you screw something up you have the original factory configuration to fall back to.

Is it fairly obvious HOW to backup the factory settings? I've never used it or even looked at it but would like to make some changes to both vehicles. Just don't want to "brick" either..

My MPG readout is 5% higher than hand calculated. I read how to change the calibration number but am worried that it will affect the speedometer and odometer which a both spot on when compared to a GPS.

You don’t need Forscan or a tuner to adjust the fuel economy readout. Access the diagnostic test mode on the screen in your gauge cluster. You do this by pushing the okay button on your steering wheel and turning the key, or using the push button start to go to the run/acc position, not all the way to start. When the diagnostic test mode comes up, you can start the engine. Use the left/right arrows to scroll though the menu. When you get to AFE bias you can adjust the figures up and down until you have reached a close proximity to actual fuel economy.

Yes, depending on the year. I use it on my wife's fusion too.

Thanks, I was able to find the function. Divided actual mpg by indicated mpg and came up with ,9497 and reset the bias to 950. It did change the mpg readout in the instant, trip 1 and trip 2 modes. Didn't think to note miles to empty so I don't know if that figure adjusted also. Thanks for the help.

I adjusted my AFE bias some time ago to 950. Before the adjustment, it was always a bit overly optimistic on the MPG. Now it is about evenly over and under optimistic; sometimes right on.
