So planning to add extra reverse lights when I get the truck. Has anyone used this connection listed. I'm not quite following how to use this. Any guidance would be apricated, would be nice not to have to run wire all the way up to the upfitter box:
These are the plugs on my 2018...I plugged into the reverse pin (used a test lamp to confirm the circuit) for my back up light. I also used the tail / parking lamp circuit to add a bed light. I have a "kit" for making weather pak connectors, so I just removed the blue plug from the OE connector, terminated the wires for my circuits, and plugged them in.
To be clear, does this only apply to 2020 and up? I have a 2017 with a tommy lift that I installed an extra set of tail lights onto and ended up plugging them into the trailer wiring to get them to work. If I had a plug like this it would be nice because the truck wouldn't always think there's a trailer hooked up.
I'll have to go see if they are on my truck. Where exactly are they located, near the spare maybe? Also, where could I get a pigtail to plug into that as I don't have the tools to make a connecter like that.

Thank you for the confirmation. It doesn’t state, but assume when you put in reverse this circuit is activated?
I read that if you plug in extra reverse lights here that it will state a trailer is connected; is that true for you? Also, it was stated that it monitors amp draw and if it goes over settings will throw an error and disable the reverse lights. From your post I assume you’ve had no issue with that? Plan to use LED’s so wattage will be low, but don’t want these types of issues.
Mainly just want extra lighting when up in the hills turning around in sketchy spots.
My extra tail lights (including reverse) that are plugged into the hitch wiring are leds and do make the truck think a trailer is plugged in. They do not cause any sort of errors and I can (and do every time) tell the truck there is no trailer connected so that it doesn't rack up miles on a non existent trailer. I would love if this plug didn't cause the trailer issue so hopefully someone else chimes in.

Ok thank you for confirming that and good to know. I might just run wires up to one of the Upfitter switches then. I plan on going pretty bright so the switch would help with tailgaters😂😁😉

This is what I'm about to undertake. On my '18 Raptor, I had some Baja Designs S2's wired directly to the backup lights. Since I use the F250 towing our Airstream, I'm going to have to use a different tactic because with the trailer attached, it would blind me...lol - and I *need* something like the S2's because my blind old eyes can't see to back up - especially with tinted windows. The Mrs. is about sick of me opening her window to back in the driveway when it's pouring down rain. The stock reverse lights on my Lariat are nothing short of anemic.

Hahah, tell her to back it up... oh don't listen to me I'm divorced... twice
Heh. She's pretty chill - but it's me man... i just can't see. Looks like Baja Designs makes a set with everything one needs for the same price ($299). I just have to route the harness.

I had these on my Raptor and they were fantastic. Now you talked me into it, guess I'll have to talk to "my guy." and get 'em.
Awe, very nice thanks for the link. The PIAA's are lower cost on the actual market, their MSRP is always high on their site. Got to cover their distributors Still about $60 more than what you listed... Now I'll have to look some more though I've always had good luck with PIAA; others haven't had though...
